Ask Marianne

Hello, there! I am Marianne Dashwood, the second of three sisters. I vastly enjoy reading novels, poems, sonnets, and any kind of literature, really. I also sing, dance and play the pianoforte. Above all, though, I adore spending time with my beloved sisters. I long for adventure, and am delighted with anyone who can find it with me!
Who I Follow
Marianne, I need your opinion on something of great importance.

Edward, I am completely at your disposal. Send me a private message and I shall answer it as dutifully as I am able.

Marianne, I'm outside as you bid, but whatever for?
askmariannedashwood askmariannedashwood Said:

We must go for a walk! For I have had a sudden explosion of thoughts that need to be spoken. And I need some advice.

Marianne, I am very thrilled at the prospects of visiting Kitty at Longbourne! We shall see her in less than three hours! I have written to her, informing her of our impending visit! Oh is it not such an exciting prospect! Oh and dearest I found your missing lace gloves; Margaret is was using them for dress-ups! I've had them packed in with my luggage, so you may wear them whilst in Hertfordshire. Elinor
askmariannedashwood askmariannedashwood Said:

Why on earth are you talking of Longbourne at a time like this? How can you keep so down to earth? Shouldn’t you be speaking of Edward? Elinor, I expect more excitement out of you! Edward is on Tumblr and now you can speak to him whenever you like!

We have our wonderful almost brother: Edward Ferrars!

Oh Marianne you are an angel!!!! I think you are the most loved sister throughout the whole of England!! Oh thank you, dearest!! Affectionately, Elinor.
askmariannedashwood askmariannedashwood Said:

Oh, I do believe I am. ;)

Pray tell me sister, how it is that you are far knowledgable on the subject of my wedding to Edward than I? Has Edward spoken to you, or is t that other way round. I do hope you haven't been pressuring him - he becomes quite agitated if you do so! Oh Marianne, that is wonderful news! You of course have all my love and prayers, and I hope you may be reunited with Colonel Brandon once again! Elinor
askmariannedashwood askmariannedashwood Said:

I am very sure that you will understand all very soon. So very soon in fact, that I am quitting this silly habit of writing to you when you are only in the next room, and I am going to join you in our kitchen to see the lovely expression on your face when you receive the news!

Dearest, when are we to leave for Longbourne?
askmariannedashwood askmariannedashwood Said:

I was thinking tonight? I packed a pair of your stockings into my suitcase—I know you always lose them.

—MD

Dearest, you should be grateful of the time you have with me! For soon Edward shall whisk me away to Delaford parsonage, and I shall be a good day's ride from Barton Cottage! As for Edward, business with Fanny will delay him and he will not be able to accompany us to Longbourne, to visit dear Kitty. However, he shall visit on tuesday evening along with Colonel Brandon. I think I shall purchase a new gown or two whilst at Longbourne, several of mine are unable to be worn in public. Elinor
askmariannedashwood askmariannedashwood Said:

Elinor, I very much have reason to believe that the day of which you speak might be closer than you think! Do not worry, my dear, for I shall be elated when you finally become Mrs. Edward Ferrars. Nothing could possibly make me happier than seeing my sister in marital bliss. In the mean time, please keep me in your prayers. I am desperately trying to restore my relationship and friendship with the Colonel. Elinor, I am such a fool when it comes to love. Sigh.

Oh, goodness. What such bad luck! However I am glad to know that you are on your way. I shall inform my mother and father and I shall see you as soon as you arrive. -Kitty
askmariannedashwood askmariannedashwood Said:

Kitty! You should write to Jane and Elizabeth and alert them that we will be arriving presently. I believe it would be quite a splendid surprise, and we might all go picnic somewhere remote and have a grand adventure. I’ve been reading quite a few interesting books that I think will raise intense conversation. I shall see you shortly, my dear!

—MD

La! - I should have presumed such! Not fair Marianne, you have a head start! Shall be there in a blink of an eyelash! I need to retrieve my bonnet. I've made a few adjustments to it - far pretty, now I've done so. Is that the parasol I gave to at Christmas? It suits you quite a lot! Which books have you been reading? Oh and we have been invited by Kitty to Longbourne! Shan't that be exciting? I cannot wait. Elinor
askmariannedashwood askmariannedashwood Said:

You were so late to our walk, Elinor. What, were you preparing to meet the King? I’m very happy were able to walk and enjoy the cool morning air! Is Edward going to join us at Longbourn? I heard the militia  will be in town…I’m sure Kitty already knows it and is planning a trip to town…make sure to bring your walking boots, Elinor!
